The Post recommends returning Congresswoman Lois Frankel, D-West Palm Beach, to the U.S. House representing District 22.
Despite earlier misgivings about her willingness to reach across the aisle to get things done in Washington, Frankel worked as a member of the powerful House Transportation Committee to push through a bipartisan Water Resources Reform and Development Act. Not surprisingly, the law was derided as much for what it does contain as what it doesn’t. But it encompasses long-awaited funding for 34 projects — about 40 percent of which are in Florida — and after seven years, gets money flowing to some dire water needs, such as four targeted Everglades projects.
