FL-22: MoveOn.org Political Action Endorses Lois Frankel for Congress

MoveOn.org Political Action Endorses Lois Frankel for Congress.
Citing Frankel’s strong record fighting for the 99%, MoveOn members commit to aggressive grassroots effort to send her to the U.S. House of Representatives.

In a year when Americans are looking to elect leaders committed to rebuilding the middle class, MoveOn’s members in Florida’s newly redrawn 22nd Congressional District endorsed Lois Frankel. Noting her outstanding track record as the mayor of West Palm Beach and state representative, MoveOn members made it clear that Frankel is the best candidate to take the fight for the 99% to Washington.

MoveOn has more than 22,000 members in the state’s 22nd district.

Sharon R. from Boca Raton voted to endorse Frankel, saying, “Lois Frankel is tough, honest, and fights for all the right issues.” Alix R. from Ft. Lauderdale agreed, writing that Frankel is a “proven fighter for progressive values.”

“I’m thrilled to have the endorsement of MoveOn.org and its members,” said Frankel upon hearing of her endorsement. “I’ve always said we’d run a powerful, grassroots campaign, and I’m grateful to have the support of so many Floridians. In Congress, I’ll always stand up for Social Security, Medicare, and job-creating policies. Together we’ll break through the gridlock in Washington and move our country forward.”

“Lois Frankel has years of experience fighting for middle-class families at the local and state level,” said Daniel Mintz, MoveOn’s National Director of Coordinated Campaigns. “Her commitment to protecting the critical programs Floridians rely on—like Social Security and Medicare—and to breaking the gridlock in Congress to get our economy back on track is exactly the kind of leadership we need in Washington.”

As part of their support for Frankel’s campaign, MoveOn members in Florida will help provide the grassroots support—both online and on the ground—needed to put her on the path to victory.

MoveOn.org Political Action is a political action committee powered by more than 7 million Americans from every state and every congressional district. Since its founding in 1998, MoveOn has raised more than $29 million in small-donor contributions and MoveOn members have volunteered tens of millions of hours for progressive candidates. MoveOn members believe in the power of grassroots action to make our country a more progressive place and elect candidates who will fight to put the American Dream back within reach for all Americans.
